This History For Human's bundle on the Gilded Age takes learners through the story of how industrialization led to massive changes in America from the rise of big business and monopolies, the changing nature of work and the labor movement, the growth of cities and the influx of new immigrants, and finally to the corruption in politics best exemplified by Tammany Hall and Boss Tweed. By going through each episode and learning activity, students grapple with important themes of US history and citizenship including; what is the role of the government in the economy, what are the consequences of massive corporations dominating the economy, the role of unions and workers' rights, and how average citizens can take on the problems of society and bring about reform. And there are answer keys for everything.

Each lesson starts with the youtube story lecture and students complete a follow-along interactive note sheet that could be completed digitally or with pen and paper. These videos are not just engaging but also teach in a way that helps struggling learners. Each lesson has a quick 7 question google form quiz (and printed PDF versions too) as a formative assessment.  Lastly, each lesson has an extension activity, which is also explained clearly in the videos, that compliments and extends the learning from the video. In this bundle, students analyze and create political cartoons, recognize bias in reporting and primary sources and create their own newspaper headlines, complete a mini-DBQ with support for diverse learners, and write an op-ed for a newspaper about Robber Barons and Captains of Industry.
